WKAR-TV: Off the Record

As an intern with WKAR-TV, I was able to work on Off the Record, a live-to-tape news show featuring weekly coverage of Michigan’s state government. I worked in a number of positions including floor direction, camera operation, and graphics. I also had the opportunity to work on live coverage of Governor Whitmer’s State of the State address, as well as the WKAR special, An Evening with Madeleine Albright.

GRAEME

(pronunciation: Graham, Gram)

A documentary film directed by Paige LaBoskey

Meet GRAEME. An aspiring hip hop artist who will stop at nothing to reach his goals — even if it means working the fast food grind, recording in his car, and writing verses during his 15 minute breaks. Follow GRAEME as he takes the first steps to making his dreams become reality.

GRAEME represents anyone who wants to do something larger than themselves. Anyone who wants to break the predetermined cycle that is too often set by social norms and expectations. GRAEME is everyone. Young kids from small towns who dream of getting out. Thousands of people across the country, working 9-5 jobs while hoping for something more.

There’s so much around you that is created by people who were divergent from the path that they were set upon.

Be one of those people.

You only live one time, and it’s just so not worth it to do anything other than what you truly want.
